His story is a sad one that can be found in the Kenyan news. Drunk one evening, Joshua's father came home and murdered his pregnant mother and two brothers while Joshua hid under a table and watched. His father then hung himself on a rafter over the very table Joshua was hiding under. Neighbors found Joshua still hiding under the table the following morning.
Praise God for places like Naomi's Village that can rescue children from horrible circumstances. While, of course, Joshua will have struggles, he has a safe place and loving people that God has placed in his life to love him, protect him, and care for him.
